John Morley

One of Liverpool’s largest private landlords, John has spent his working life in property since graduating as a Quantity Surveyor.
He gained huge experience during his early career working for a national hotel developer buying sites, refurbishing existing hotels as well as developing new ones and securing BPRA across 20 separate schemes throughout the UK.
In recent years John has established a development company that has in excess of £450m GDV currently on site/scheduled to commence in coming 12 months. John’s knowledge of his native city is unsurpassed, both as a private landlord and a developer.
With the end user always at the forefront of his thinking, his buildings marry good, solid development with choice location. As such, they remain at the top-end of Liverpool’s rental demand.
Gavin Currie
Managing Director

Gavin is responsible for the overall management and governance of the construction business. He is a proven senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the construction and development industry, 10 of those in senior leadership roles.
During his career, he has worked across the United Kingdom on a wide variety of projects, including some iconic buildings that were constructed under political and media scrutiny and plc requirements.
As a Chartered Director, Gavin brings a particular focus on leadership, governance, strategy and culture, which combined with his industry knowledge ideally places him to bridge and implement the growth strategies of Legacie.

Stuart Polak is a British Conservative politician and life Peer in the House of Lords.
He was born in Liverpool. Before his appointment to the House of Lords by former Prime Minister David Cameron, he had a successful business career and was the Director of Conservative Friends of Israel for twenty-six years.
He is a strong advocate of opportunities for young people from disadvantaged communities and in his early career worked as a youth officer. He is passionate about the regeneration which led to his decision to join Legacie Developments as an adviser.
He is a supporter of the social mobility charity, Football For Change and was appointed a CBE in 2015 for political services.

Colin Croxton

A qualified property professional with over 30 years’ experience in both the private and social housing sectors. Starting his career in property in 1989 with Liverpool City Council Colin has worked for a number of private and social landlords in numerous roles which have provided him with a wealth of knowledge and experience of the property sector.
Has experience in all aspects of property management including block management services, Asset Management, Planned and Responsive repairs, service charge and ground rent accounts, leasehold management, and tenancy management.
Currently heading up the Asset team for Legacie Management and Lettings Colin’s attention to detail combined with a well-balanced positive and can-do attitude compliments the work he does with freeholders, leaseholders, tenants and other stakeholders alike.
Marie Campbell

Marie looks after all administrative matters to ensure everything runs smoothly.
She has a broad background in the development of hospitality and the construction industry having worked for multinationals and SMEs in the Middle East and the UK.
Her experience in manufacturing, finance, logistics and customer services gives her a unique insight into how our processes link together.

Colin is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, quality and production across our projects.
A chartered civil engineer with 25 years of construction experience, Colin has a track record of leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of award-winning and high profile projects across the residential, leisure, education and commercial sectors.
Open and honest in his approach with a hands-on management style, Colin deals with challenges as they arise in a positive, collaborative and non-adversarial manner.
He is passionate about fostering and developing strong relationships to deliver excellence at every opportunity.
Joseph Morley
Supply Chain Director

Joseph has gained devise experience of commercial activities progressing throughout various quantity surveying aspects. Wide experiences of schemes from high-rise residential to hotel/leisure projects have been achieved including end-user clients as Hilton / IHG / Club and Spa / Marco Pierre White.
Utilising his commercial acumen, a promotion to Supply Chain Director allows a holistic overlook at all aspects of project award. This includes the creation of framework agreements with preferred and specialist Suppliers / Sub-Contractors and with an overriding knowledge of schemes allowing final supply chain negotiation.
Joe holds a BSc Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Lee is appointed as the Head of Health, Safety, and wellbeing for the Company.
He provides competent Health and Safety advice and guidance to ensure that the company provides a safe and healthy environment for all stakeholders on the Projects that the company carries out its operations.
He has vast experience as a Safety and Health Practitioner where he has provided advice and guidance to many high-risk industries including Construction, Oil and Gas, and the Railway Network.
Lee engages with the Senior Leadership Team and the Project Teams to continuously improve the systems and procedures across the company to strive for continuous improvement throughout the business.
Mike Rider

Mike is responsible for the delivery of our projects, ensuring safety, quality and a solid strategy for success and completion is at the forefront.
Mike has 20 years experience working in the Manchester area delivering a wide variety of complex projects. A Chartered Construction Manager he has developed the skills required to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality.
Having delivered, and supported, residential projects exceeding £500m in value, Mike’s knowledge and collaborative approach to delivering our portfolio of projects secures our growing business.
Supporting the project teams, Mike ensures that communication, strong relationship building, at all levels, and creating a solid team ethos delivers our success.

John is an accomplished construction professional with a passion for creating vibrant and sustainable communities. With over 30 years of experience in the housing industry, John has led the development and management of a wide range of Affordable homes, Open Market and BTR housing projects.
As the Director of Housing, John brings a multifaceted skillset that spans all aspects of housing development and management. From initial project feasibility planning and financing to construction oversight and delivery. John has demonstrated an exceptional ability to execute complex housing projects on time and within budget.
John is well known for his collaborative leadership style, which emphasizes transparency, communication, and empowered decision-making. He promotes the building of strong relationships with all project stakeholders and this approach is widely respected in the industry.
Rachel Downey
Finance Director

Rachel is a chartered account who gained her fellowship in 2020. She studied in Liverpool and gained her ICAEW qualification in a local practice. Throughout her career, she has worked with stakeholders in numerous sectors and business sizes ranging from sole trader to multi million pound turnover organisations, with both national and international footprints.
Rachel joined the Legacie team in 2022 to bring a refreshed focus to the finance function as the business continues to grow.
